Rockweed
This piece was really a start to thinking about my thesis in a different way, I approached it as a tribute to the wonder of marine life and the unknown. I have begun making work that stresses the preciousness of these ecosystems and the life related to them.
It was created using sheet copper, wire copper, and periwinkle shells (don’t worry no periwinkles were harmed in the making of this piece) and a liver of sulfur patina which gives it the rich dark coloring.
